The Company of Biologists Limited is a non-profit organisation.
We promote research and the knowledge and study of biology by financing
three journals, (Development,
Journal of Cell Science and The
Journal of Experimental Biology); travelling
fellowships for junior scientists, grants
and other charitable activities.
We make no page or colour charges, thus ensuring that
no author experiences discrimination on the grounds of publication costs.
Subscriptions are based on a calendar year (January
to December).
Prepayment is required before a subscription can be
activated.
Claims
Claims for missing issues should be made immediately after
receipt of a subsequent issue or 90 days after the journal despatch date.
Claims for damage or shortage should be reported within
3 days of receipt of the goods, otherwise a claim cannot be considered.

Cancellations
Cancellations will only be accepted in exceptional circumstances and will
be for the unused portion of the subscription less an administration charge.
